Canvas 8.5x11 print of "Funky Fish"

 
 
The first pets I allowed my children to have were Betta fish.  Having never owned fish myself I somehow thought bettas would be easy first pets.  Was I ever wrong.  Bettas may be beautiful, the males with their flowing, fanned fins and the females with their far more subtle grace, but they're far more finicky than I ever expected! We've since moved on to mixed breed dogs with iron stomachs :D
 
Because a complete life is populated with both the positive and the negative, I often create the photo negative of my works to complement the original.
 
"Funky Fish" is the photo negative of "Fancy Fish", which is a highly abstracted take on those first fish we brought home, a blue male named Bluestar and an orangish male called Lucy :)
